I found this a fascinating read, that provided a brutally honest expose of the vicissitudes of a writer's life. Harry ( it seems churlish to call him anything else )guides you through
the processes involved in bringing a book to published life, sometimes gently by the hand, and sometimes with a hefty boot up the bottom. Unlike some other reviewers, his humour worked for me, and I liked the idea of spending one's whole advance on a posh meal. I liked his tips, but it is too late for me to marry for money so will have to stick with the day job for the time being. I will keep it as a reference for the time ahead when I have to negotiate on film rights.
